Provisional squad:
Goalkeepers: James (Portsmouth), Carson (Aston Villa), Kirkland (Wigan)
Defenders: Bridge (Chelsea), A Cole (Chelsea), Johnson (Portsmouth), Terry (Chelsea), Brown (Man Utd), Lescott (Everton), Ferdinand (Man Utd), Wheater (Middlesbrough), Woodgate (Tottenham), Upson (West Ham)
Midfielders: Barry (Aston Villa), Young (Aston Villa), Bentley (Blackburn), J Cole (Chelsea), Lampard (Chelsea), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Gerrard (Liverpool), Hargreaves (Man Utd), Downing (Middlesbrough), Jenas (Tottenham)
Forwards: Walcott (Arsenal), Agbonlahor (Aston Villa), Crouch (Liverpool), Rooney (Man Utd), Owen (Newcastle), Defoe (Portsmouth).

Wheater? Hargreaves?
I like the addition of Beckham and, especially Agbonlahor. HGL, how do you feel about Carson & Young. Whilst there are some fresh names in there, I still thought he would have been a little more radical.

I just want to know who'll be captain, because JT certainly doesn't conduct himself the way an England skipper should. Can you imagine Bobby Moore or Bryan Robson trying to snatch a card out of a ref's hand?

I don't know who should get the job, mind. Apart from maybe Stevie G, there don't seem to be any obvious candidates in the squad.

Gerrard, surely. If not, I would give Gareth Barry a shout.

Well, back to the same old.

Jermain Jenas dropped. As is Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Shaun Wright-Phillips, David Wheater and Jermain Defoe. Carson injured so he brings in.........................Paul Robinson !!!

This is a friendly and we should be giving the prospects a run out. I am especially disappointed for Agbonlahor

Ladies and Gentlemen, this web site was created as a temporary measure due to the collapse of another web site. Members of that site, The FootballForum.co.uk, were left castaway after it went under for no apparent reason. Two members created simultaneously, two separate sites and after some consideration it was decided to default to the following site:- http://www.thefootballforum.org.uk/forum
